8:36 Reading about unconditional love. About to prep for the busy week ahead. Troll be gone! , a photo by ::: a i m e e ::: on Flickr. A beautiful story about unconditional love and understanding the different kinds of bonds we can have with people. It reminded me how some may not understand another's actions but with compassion and an open mind, we can be a supportive rock to someone who may need it. I love how she doesn't take the little things for granted and treasures those things in this book. Whether it was a gifted notebook or how a cigarette burn mark left on her chair reminds her of the poet who made the mark during a great discussion. Or remembering the few items friends owned, which all had meaning and purpose, unlike today when we buy so much useless crap. I'll be passing this off to my mom when I see the family in FL next weekend.

Creative Inspiration

Matt Ferrin, an old friend from high school shot this video while on a trip to Australia with his wife. He is a creative fella. Went to school at Tyler School of Art (with my buddy Ryan George) and now works as an art director in New York City. BEAUTIFUL Australia time-lapse from Matt Ferrin on Vimeo .

Putting the reward flight to good use.

My mom had a Southwest reward flight that expires soon and was letting me use it to travel home for my buddy's wedding on June 10th. Unfortunately, Southwest only flies out of Sea-Tac in the mornings and doesn't fly direct to PHL or Newark. I didn't want to waste an entire day flying so I decided to book my own flight and travel on the red-eye. This way I can still attend my favorite annual motorcycle/scooter event Saturday and fly out that evening to be with family by the morning. This also gave me a chance to put the her Southwest award flight to better use... My folks and sister were thrilled to hear that I decided to use the reward flight to visit them for a long weekend during their Florida trip in TWO WEEKS! We all arrive in the evening of Saturday May 7th. In the 3 days I'm there, we will jump around to a few Disney theme parks and hopefully get some relaxing, pool time before I depart Tuesday evening. Its my niece and nephew's first real vacation and we a

My friends call this lingering cold the Troll Flu

I have this cough that is REALLY driving me nuts!!!! Co-workers were out sick with similar symptoms the last week or so and this past weekend my throat started feeling scratchy. I ended up being home sick Monday and Tuesday with chest congestion and mucus. I talked to a nurse and she went over my symptoms Monday so I followed her instructions on what to get and what to do. Its Thursday and I'm on the mend. The cough is annoying the crap out of me and I just want to rest but I'm on the mend...at least.

Upgrading

8:36 in the middle of organizing my new sideboard. Love it! , a photo by ::: a i m e e ::: on Flickr. I no longer spend time sitting at my computer desk unless I'm sewing so I upgraded to this BEAUTIFUL antique sideboard/buffet.  I bought the sideboard for a reasonable price from a gal in my neighborhood who is relocating to Chicago. Its natural wood painted red with brass handles. I was going to get new handles but it matches the chandelier. I hated the chandelier but with this in the room and my red dressform, its starting to give the area a nice antique look.  Since it is so heavy and big, I hired a moving company to move it rather than renting a truck and asking friends for help. The hundred bucks to move it was WELL WORTH THE TIME AND LESS OF A HASSLE! • My sewing machine fits on one side. • I have all my arts and crafts in 3 of the drawers. • The other side holds a filing case with all my bills • The top drawers are for bill stuff, stationary and knick knacks. I LOVE
