Maybe it would run off solar power and the water pressure will somehow also help with energy that the house needs. I'm more familiar with solar power than I am with the power of using water pressure but I would love to have a house thats fueled off the power of the sun and water.

A month ago my coworker informed us it was his cancer anniversary and the day prior his best friend died of cancer. He asked us to consider donating bone marrow. Through www.marrow.org you sign up to be in the registry then they send out the cotton swabs shown here to rub your mouth with then send it back to them in special packaging they provided. Now I can help save someone elses life if I end up being a match for one of the many people fighting diseases. I am very lucky to be healthy and have the life I have. This just a little way of being there when someone may need me.

My mom just sent me a picture message of Eleanor, Cheryl and Pat at the annual Galooper's Home Management Seminar. Growing up I knew mom and my aunts would go to the "HMS" but had no clue until I got older that it was a bunch of bull. It's a girl's weekend where they drink, eat junk, laugh a lot and who knows what else. Looks like they are having amazing weather down in Long Beach Island (jersey shore)

Days of people lounging at coffee shops, chatting with friends and reading books has become cafe tables filled with computer screens, people's faces hiding behind them. Granted people still meet others to have coffee and catch up for various reasons but along with the isolation at the coffee shops, everyone's faces are not facing each other anymore, they are facing their computer or phon screens. Take notice how many people are glued to phones. I AM ONE OF THEM. I check my email, the weather, the news every break I can. BUT when I'm with company, I do my best to set it aside....unless my company is preoccupied "twittering" or texting messages to others. I don't twitter....I think I do enough. I want to have limits. In this research, I decided that I want to "go off the grid more" meaning stay offline for so many hours. In my r

Thursday was chilly and drizzly so what better to welcome October than with soup! Last night I experimented and made Butternut Squash & Pear soup. I knew it wouldn't be ready for dinner so I made kahlua yams. Yams were delicious and my apartment smelled amazing once the soup was simmering.
