The world may love them, but I sure don't.

I made fun of my friend Katie for having a snuggie so what does she get me for my birthday.... the last thing I could ever want....a snuggie. So I keep it at work and let anyone who is cold borrow it, as long as we can get a snapshot. We'll see how this set grows.

The Seattle Show

Image
What are these photos you ask? Last night, me and my WONGDOODY associates attended the Seattle Show. The Seattle Show honors the best advertising work created in Seattle, show local clients that national-caliber work is being created right here and help the best agencies and firms recruit top people. They had a photobooth and well us there are several of us WONGDOODYites who are total hams!

The things you do for a friend's birthday! Someday My Drink Will Come Originally uploaded by beatnikside My friend Geoff always thought that the ultimate burlesque would be a disney one as he loves going down to Disneyland as much as possible. I DID NOT PERFORM but told his girlfriend Lorien and other party planner, my friend Jessica that I would dress up for the occasion. (Lorien is the one who did the art in my last post) So I was Snow White, setting up the stage for each performer. More photos are to come. Geoff's photo caption says.... My friends Lexi (Alice) and Aimee (Snow White) play to my base instincts at the best goddamn birthday party I've ever had. Geoff is adding photos to flickr as I update this. Here is a his slideshow from his birthday party:

Art by Lorien

Lorien takes photographs and then does neat things with them. She gave me the cool looking Buddha photo in a frame for my birthday! She just had an art show so I bought the "These Boots" piece to support & salute her craftiness!

I love 3-day weekends

Its 12:20pm and I'm sitting in my pajamas. I have the day off. In a few minutes I will be hopping in the shower, calling Carrie to see how her health is doing and then running errands. I have a few pillows to make today that I'm excited to start. They will gave "ugly doll" style felt monsters on it. I'll send them to my sister without the pillow stuffing so its easier to ship. So that's my plan so far.

Its just another year older.

I wanted a low-key birthday because there were so many things going on around me, including birthday parties for friends. My birthday was grrrreat! I came to work to find a beautiful flower arrangement from Scott, Original Art by Lorien, Fancy soap I wanted to steal but Jessica bought for me, Red Velvet Cupcakes from Claire and lots of love from my various co-workers & friends that day. That night I went for dinner and drinks with Jessica, Hema and Karin to Moe's and Oddfellows. Very Yummy! Here are photos from Oddfellows. Then Katie Wright who use to live out here came to town from Chicago to celebrate our friend Tanya's baby shower. We hung out throughout the weekend. SHE GIFTED ME THE LAST THINGS I WOULD EVER WANT... Because I make fun of her for having one... A SNUGGIE! I was swimming in it as I walked around the office with it on. Its a cheep fleece that made my arms itch. Plus I was sweating. Her sister got her a super soft BBBeyond knock off thats better so she thoug

NOV, DEC & JAN in a nutshell

November, December and January flew by! I want to jot down some exciting things that happened so I can now be up to speed and can a little at a time. Ok in brief: THANKSGIVING I spent thanksgiving with my friends, the Bensons. It was a super yummy dinner with a small group of Seattle transplants. We all made different dishes and drank many bottles of wine. I made the Kahlua Yams and they were a success. NEXT.... Thanksgiving weekend, my friend Jessica (Aka Jo Jo) and I went to Portland for a girls weekend. We stayed at the Ace Hotel and had a blast! December is a busy whirlwind until the holidays come...... HOLIDAYS IN PA I traveled to Pennsylvania from Seattle, via San Francisco, and Salt Lake City for the holidays to spend it with family. Though it took me 3 days to get there due to airport problems and frustrations, I had a great spending time with family. Jenna and I took Jake and Marissa to the Please Touch Museum (FOR YEARS I THOUGHT IT WAS THE POLICE TOUCH MUSEUM – AS if t
