Christmas Holiday in Levittown, Pennsylvania

I had a great christmas at home in Levittown with my family. Smooth flights Breakfast at Golden Dawn with Cathy B, Jenna, and Marrissa NJ State Aquarium with my mom, Jenna and Marissa. Christmas shopping in one day! Cheeseburger in Paradise with Mike, Kelly and my folks.. Christmas eve at Aunt Estelle and Uncle Flynn Christmas day at the Jahrs, which started out interesting since my 1st home was up in flames when I pulled in front of Cheryl and Marq's. Here, the current resident blew a candle out in the bathroom which sparked a fire. The family wasn't home but luckily the animals were removed safely and the house can be repaired. What a horrible thingg to happen on Christmas. On a happy note, my friend Andy made me a cd with some original Holiday music. One night, Mike and Kelly had people over their house to party since my time was so limited. So as a thank you to my friends who hung out and to Andy for his amazing music, I made the video below...

Electrical Outage day

So last night we had a major wind storm. Suppposibly up to 90mph windss! I was out at a Bean holiday event and as I walked to my car with friends the wind picked up and we were being pushed side and side by the wind. I walked into the lobby and while on the phone with a friend realized I better get upstairs to my 13th floor apt. so I don't get stuck in the lobby or elevator

Snow - selling car- bought another computer

Image
Though Thanksgiving was only 2 weeks past, I feel like its been so long since I posted something on here because I have been so busy. There were snow storms (nothing compared to the East Coast!)0 I started to take the bus as frequently as I can. My car needs to have some things fixed but I honestly would rather sell it to someone who wants to fix it up rather than spend the money when I don't need it anymore. If I kept it, since I prefer to take the bus to work, I would have to deal with parking it or putting it in a garage. I'd rather sell it. I had suite tickets to a concert the other night that had a bunch of bands such as the Shins, Snow Patrol, Gnarls Barkley, Pete Yorn, Taking Back Sunday, and others not worth mentioning. I can't help but absolutely love the song below by the irish band "snow Patrol"... Gnarls Barkley was very entertaining. I had no clue who he was. His sound and performance is great. I love how his entire band, singers and stage people all

Happy Turkey Day, Happy Omelette Day

Image
Thanksgiving was fun. We saw the Tenacious D movie then went to 13 Coins for dinner. I had the special Turkey Dinner and Leanne ate an omelette since she's vegetarian. We then went back to her apartment and watched a season of Sex in the City that I hadn't seen yet. After two bottles of wine, a season of SITC and Greys Anatomy, I retreated home to my place and crashed! I overslep this morning to see my car get slapped with a $35 parking ticket. Oh well. I don't pay for parking since I get home after 6 everyday, so a $35 charge once in a blue moon compared to $150 a monthly parking in a garage is not too bad when I luck out with parking most the time. Tonight I'm heading to the Tractor Tavern with friends. Great friends, great bar. I love this city. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone

What a week!

A short week but a crazy one. I had maps to work on. (as some know is a responsibility of mine at my job) One after another things were screwed up and not going as smoothly as previous rounds. Late nights and long hours staring at maps. But its all better now because the issues were fixed, I got what I needed to get done, and was out of there to begin the thanksgiving holiday. Since I have some time to kill before my physical therapy appointment on mercer island, I met up with a few co-workers for some drinks near work. I was going to go out tonight but after eating dinner I decided to have another low-key night. I watched a little of the Madonna concert on TV. Something is wrong with this world when you have Madonna on primetime tv with her dancers in dominatrix gear. I always liked Madonna but since when is she suitable for primetime television? As she wore the thorns on her head, singing "Live to Tell" and photos of children in Africa were flashing on the screen I decided

My friday

Tonight I chose to lay low. I ventured downstairs from apartment to El Portal, the restaurant on the 1st floor of my building. I had their yummy Chicken Tortilla Soup @ the bar while watching the Sonics vs Utah game. I chatted with Joe, the owner and the other patrons at the bar. After my delicious dinner, I am now over at Uptown Espresso typing away. Surprising there is only 7 people in here tonight. That is a slow night for Uptown. The barrista has great music playing that I swear he hacked into my music collection. I'm going to go home and watch "who killed the electric car" and take it easy this weekend.

CHCU Orientation

Tonight Leanne and I got together for our 1st night of CHCU. CHICKS HELP CHICKS UNIVERSITY ha ha The plan: She wants to get more into page layout design and build her portfolio....I can help her. I want to produce my website and need some motivation, dedication and help with some technical stuff... which she can help me with. Plus the time we set aside, will help me make time for my self-promotional stuff such as a website since I always put my clients first and never get around to my personal projects. Well our first night, we watched the office and greys anatomy. However afterwards, we procrastinated on the work and showed eachother funny stuff on the web like the Fruitcake Lady (go to NBC and look her up! They removed the best footage from youtube.com) Even though we did not work, we had fun.

Sixers vs Sonics

Image
Darbs and I got 3rd row seats to the Sonics vs Sixers . It was amazing! We were so close that we could see A.I. 's tattoos! Luke Ridnour was on fire once again! However he was still not as skillful as Iverson . I was routing for the Sixers but caught myself accidently cheering for the Sonics at several points during the game. (Its tricky rooting for the hometeam most the time and then that one night Sixers comes to town..its confusing!) I love going to basketball games. No offense to Philly, but Sonics have a better mascot . Its a Sasquatch in a b-ball uniform so it looks like Michael J. Fox in TeenWolf !

Boston is the fall

Image
Last weekend I had quick jump across the country to Boston for Carrie & Michael's wedding. I left early friday morning in the dark rain, making it to Boston by 5pm. Boston was warm and sunny! I rented a car and headed to Southie. Carrie and Michael's place is cute and in a great location. Only two blocks from the beach. We all realized none of us have had a simple night just sitting on the sofa so thats what we did. It was great to just relax with good company. Carrie's cousin Steph and I were entertained by watching Carrie and Michael work on the seating chart for the wedding. Carrie wanted to done and Michael wanted to make sure each table of people got along and would blend well together. Both had good reasonings but it was funny to watch them work it out. Oldy enough, the majority of guest stayed up at the bar all night! ha ha Saturday morning I drove to New Hampshire to see Jenna & Marissa at her friend Lindsay's house. Marissa is ADORABLE! I have NEVER h

My parents came to visit

Image
US @ Chateau Ste. Michelle Originally uploaded by aimeehossler . My folks came to Seattle to visit me. Even though it rained THE ENTIRE TIME THEY WERE HERE, we had fun and did a lot of cool things. - Saw the BODIES exhibit which was interesting. - Saw Little Miss Sunshine (2nd time for me) - Saw a Supersonics basketball game against the LA Clippers (evil Coby Bryant) - Went to Chateau Ste. Michelle & Columbia Wineries. - Ate at Two Bells Tavern, Cheesecake Factory, Jak's, Paddy Coynes, and Murphy's. It was a great time. Now I'm off to Boston. I should have been asleep HOURS ago. Which would you choose?

Image
Its Saturday night and where would you choose to be? a.) A night venturing to various halloween party with friends b.) doing work at your favorite coffee shop c.) going to see a movie Since parties don't come up that often I originally chose "a" but at 3:30 today I felt like it was a good night to chill out and "b", do some work at my favorite coffee shop. Some may think that was lame but I'm on a creative role and need to get some work done for the magizine I freelance for. (www.pureEonline.com) Seems like I'm not the only one choosing "b" for the coffee shop has various patrons plugging away at their computers or hidden behind books. My friend Leanne was home working a few blocks away so I convinced her to come work here at the coffee shop. We worked a little, talked a lot and then ended up watching "the Philadelphia Story" in my buildings little movie theatre. We were dissapointed for we always heard other movies mentioning this fi

stuck in the office

Image
So several days a month I'm usually stuck working late, helping hot projects get out the door. Tonight is especially tough since I'm coming down with a cold and my eyes are so heavy that sitting in front of my monster apple screen is not helping. I want to be home in bed. But even if I wasn't here, I'd be working on other design projects. At least tonight I'm with a fun group of people all working together to get these projects out the door! Uggh I want a vacation!

gorgeous sunday but feeling the cold coming

Image
Its a gorgeous fall Sunday. Bright, sunny and I should be in my apartment working on my freelance and T-Mobile work. I feel like I'm getting a cold that has been spreading in the office. Its hard not to catch it especially when I share a cube with someone who caught the nasty cold. I escaped to uptown espresso to get an Irish Creme 2% Latte' and get some fresh air. Now I'll return to my pad and start the "work day" more photos here! - October 22nd in Seattle

Rat City Rollergirls - I'll remain a spectator

Image
I experienced my 1st Rat City Rollergirls event. The Socket Wenches won the championship. It was a lot of fun. Roller Derby is when girls circle a rink, 5 from each team try to get their "jammer" with the star on her helmet to loop the track so many times. The "jammer" starts in the back has to work her way through the pack of girls and onces she makes one full lap around after passing the pack, its a point and she continues making points the more laps she can pass the pack with out getting trampled, push aside or blocked. The other girls on the team have to try to help the jammer get ahead by blocking the other team's players from stopping the jammer and also to make sure the other team's "jammer" doesn't get ahead. Lots on falling, lots of yelling, lots of undies with funny sayings being flashed. There were mascots for the teams and a score girl. Its similar to boxing where a hot girl comes out and shows the score each round, except this gir

New photos

Various nights of the sunset and my apartment is coming more and more together. I love it. 3rd floor rooftop garden overlooking the space needle. A movie room, a fitness center (no picture yet...maybe when I actually use it!), club room with pool table (another missing shot), a conference room, laundry room, office center with PCs, mini-market, post office, El Portal restaurant (yummy), and my favorite coffee shop is a block away! I went with friends to see Clap Your Hands Say Yeah last night. I enjoyed the band before them the most. ARCHITECTURES IN HELSKINKI. An australian band that basically puts on a party on stage that you wish you can jump up and get in on. the fun.

Its getting chilly out.

Thursday night an old pal from ESU, Jen and her new hubby came to town. They were on a NW honeymoon roadtrip. We met for some drinks and a late dinner. It was great to see Jen. She was always such a fun girl with all these cool things going on with herself. Now she has a ultra sweet, crazy talented husband. I'm happy for Jen. Friday night I planned to stay in but went out for a drink with a buddy from work and his friends. Well one drink led into a few more drinks at various bars. We met up with a gal I know from the Ad agency my company works with. Its cool to see people outside the work environment. Saturday, Darby and I went to Ikea. Big mistake since it was packed! It was their anniversary with sales so the place was nuts! Later that night we saw " We are Scientist" at Nuemos. Great band! Afterwards we went for a drink at Lindas. Its nice we can be friends. I miss him bigtime so knowing he is still there to talk to and enjoy our favorite music is a nice thing. I s

Cirque Du Soleil

Image
Tonight I am going to see Delirium, a live music Cirque Du Soleil. T-Mobile is treating our team as a thank you for our involvement in the retail store rebranding. Its walking distance to my house so a few of us will meet at my place for a beer and then head over. Should be fun.

A great start to city life

Image
Friday night, Darby and I cleaned the old apartment from top to bottom, then had dinner at the good ol' Rowie. For the days I had been there packing and cleaning....it was hard & emotional. Lots of memories. I will miss him and it sucks we couldn't work things out. however I was the one who gave up and called it quites. After 4+ years, how long can you hope things will change without realizing life can be better than this situation? Saturday, we had the walk through and are no longer residents of Ridgewood Apartments. I took a bunch of clothes to Red Light to sell. They were looking for halloween outfits this month so I didn't sell much of my clothes however I got $6 for an old school zip up jacket. Poor girl before me only got $5 for a pile of blouses. So compared to her, I lucked out. Saturday, I attended an Autism Auction with George and Ona. The auction were horrible to their volunteers. Not enough food, empty pizza trays and lots of standing around. We bailed afte

ahhh.... I'm almost there

Image
All I need to do is clean the old apartment and I'm outta there! Today we attempted to sell a bunch of stuff. I didn't really plan for it so 10pm last night I posted signs in the four apartment buildings mentioning a moving sale from 11 - 2 (while we would be cleaning and throwing out stuff). Only one visitor, but the perfect visitor, my downstairs neighbor, Yung. She bought a bunch of stuff & I gave her a bunch of stuff for free. When she walked in the door, I knew I was in luck because the lady can't walk away from a yard sale without something. Darby even bought some things from me. So I placed the left-overs in a storage bin and will drop them off at the goodwill this week. Now I got lots of boxes to unpack. However tonight after putting some things away, I took a bath. A wonderful well-needed bath. Despite the rain we had all week, this weekend was beautiful!!! I love this place.
