4th of July on Lake Union @Wendy and Todd's Boathouse

After hearing the news about Tommy, I spent a few hours doing house stuff, ran to IKEA with a friend and then headed to my first boathouse party. on Lake Union for a 4th of July BBQ.

Beautiful day for a BBQ

What a fantastic time, great weather and amazing spot to celebrate the holiday.

This is the view from Wendy and Todd's living room...

The boathouse community is really cool. Its like a little village of unique houses.

When I first walked out onto Wendy and Todd's deck not only was I surprised by how cool it was to live on a houseboat, I quickly realized I knew their neighbor – My Boss! Pat Doody was outside on his deck talking on the phone. I knew he lived on Lake Union but a neat coincidence that he lives on the same dock. I said hello from across the water and he modeled his funny 4th of July vest. Here is my paparrazzi shot.

As some of you know from my email...I lost my Dash phone. I kept my phone nearby just in case family needed to reach me. Someone accidentally knocked it in the water when shaking a blanket that was near the phone. We heard something fall and it took a few seconds to figure out what it was. My great phone, the T-Mobile Dash now resides at the bottom of Lake Union. I almost jumped in after it! Foolish me should of kept the phone inside. The good news is that my RAZR has all my contacts in it so I didn't have to re-enter a million phone numbers.

Well at the end of the day I learned...
1.) that you should live each day like its your last because you never know what tomorrow will be like.
2.) Do not keep valuables within 3 feet of the edge of a dock because chances are they might want to go for a swim!
3.) A boathouse community would be the perfect Galooperville!
