A "new" blog in the works!!!

If you noticed, I renamed my blog since most post have to do with updating my loved ones. I will continue to write to you, my family; the target audience of this personal blog.

I'm making another blog that's not as personal. Pretty much anonymous. It will be targeted to all things I find creative, inspiring or just awesome!!!! The creative blog will be limited 2 or 3 sentences. This blog I will keep personal and update with my happenings. Here is my first post.

Now a forewarning: As a grown adult, there are some things I find funny and/or creative that others may find indecent. Art is not about conforming to what society suits as acceptable or not. I appreciate that art is free expression. Artist do what they need to do to express a piece of work and to get the reaction they intended, sometimes taking it to levels others may not find acceptable.

An example is Cee-Lo's song "F- you" Radio version is "forget you" but if you listen to the lyrics and the amazing rhythm/mood of the song, no other title, even "forget you" works as well as its foul-mouthed version. I LOVE THAT SONG....

Here is the cute, kid-friendly version he performed on the Grammy's.

Cute right! But the song speaks a lot more with the original lyrics. Here is the original.

I know... a kid saying that is twisted but thats how the artist wanted to express it and I loved it once I heard the entire song. With the internet these days, kids can find anything and they will probably only hear the "Forget You" Radio version unless someone shows them this, just like the million Rated-R movies and violent video games out there. As a kid, most song lyrics went over my head and songs like "I wanna sex you up" didn't have alternate versions of songs like Forget You. All art is not meant to be PG. We can't block their eyes but we can educate! Just like my folks told me about the hootchie-mama girls in the MTV music videos, its the parents jobs to distinguish the line of what's right & wrong and what's just for entertainment.

That's just a forewarning. I highly doubt I will post mature stuff but if I do, there won't be an explanation like I explained above. Just sayin'. :)
