Summer Solstice

Another nice weekend. The work week was crazy so by the time Friday evening rolled around, I was ready to relax and have a good time. Last Friday I met up with Audra, Karin, Hema and a group of people and went out in my neighborhood to celebrate the beginning of Summer. We had fun but it was hard to roll out of bed the next morning for a hair appointment. I ran some errands, bought a cute dress on sale and then laid low the rest of the day. I spent Saturday afternoon at the coffee shop doing some vacation research and then went and a movie with my friend Karin.

Sunday I played my 1st game of flag football with the Wongdoody team over at Seattle Center and then went to a BBQ. It was a nice start to the summer though or team lost horribly! The picture above is Hema, Audra, Karin and I at the BBQ Sunday night. I met the girls, along with a few others we hang out with over the last couple years through Bean (the volunteer group). They are a sweet, fun group of gals. Us gals made a pact that if we are invited to another BBQ of any guy under the age of 28,....we will bring our own chairs as this BBQ was an example of the lack of!

Now I'm almost caught up on my happenings. I'll try to post more frequently.

Its been a while since I posted here. May was an insanely busy but AMAZING. There was the Highline High School fundraiser dinner. I never recalled my high school having fundraisers and since I don't have kids, I told Carinna I would join her for her school's fundraiser auction/dinner. It was fun, I won a bottle of nice wine and 3 of us bid on the "Taste of Highline dinner" where several moms and staff would make meals passed down from their families. We were able to invite up to 10 friends. There was Italian, Somalian, Soul, Mexican, and Hawaiian. There may have been another but I forget. It was sooooo yummy and was hosted at a house that was on Lake Burien. They told us there may be a boat involved. The boat turned out to be a battery operated dock that quietly moved in the water. That was a riot. It was a beautiful evening with stories of the meals with some of my favorite seattle friends. The weather had finally taken a turn for the nicer so for my friend Sar...

Summer came and went

Where did the summer go and what did I do. SOOOOO much. It was a great summer. I only ended up camping once but it was a good one. I went to PARIS! Which was gorgeous, romantic, rich in foods and simply breathtaking.  I wish I had time to post highlights of my summer but I can only suggest to check out all my photos since May on Flickr. It was a good summer in Seattle.
