I don't care that its Friday night and I'm at the coffee shop
I came to the coffee shop tonight to work on my personal design related website. Do you think I got much done. Nope! Did bills, started my freelance taxes, and now posting a blog.
Today was a calm day at the office. My team's director, Robert announce he is leaving T-Mobile and we were all bummed even though some of us won't be there either.
I learned a lot from working with him. If it wasn't for him, I probably wouldn't have had as good of a chance getting into Wongdoody. He supposibly gave his personal recommendation to the president of the company. He did not have to do that but that was his character. He supported and believed in his team. Granted there has been crazy times at the office but he has been a wonderful leader amongst the craziness. When he knew he had to lose me as a contractor, he recommended to me an amazing company that I have had my eye on for the last few years and I am so thankful of his thoughtfulness.
The advantages of taking the bus.....
My main manager was working from home today and asked me for a favor. An odd but very cool favor. To drive her car home. I told her I don't like driving big cars and she replied, "no worries, mine is a tiny Mercedes convertible." It was a nice car. Very quiet and really pretty. But I can see how some may feel claustrophobic in it. Its cool she trusted me with it. I would not have done it if I didn't feel comfortable driving it. It was only 35 degrees so I didn't have the top down!
