Where has the time gone.

Recap of the last two weeks.
Scooter Insanity was awesome.
The fashion show with my friend's fashion line of custom suits was great. The 1st ride has about 70+ scooters with several passengers. There was even a few motorcycles in the mix for this evening ride. A colleague of mine and her husband came out for the ride and had a blast.

I skipped out of the 2nd big scooter ride which was was next day to sit in the shade of friends' yardsale than spend the day riding and socializing with a hundred or so riders. FOr as much as I am a social person, I equally need my down time. Sitting in the shade, enjoying a beer with 3 friends was a perfect day for me.
That Sunday I met back up with the scooter crew for brunch and videotaped them heading off on a camping adventure on one of the islands. I had been to the island a few times and wanted to take the day to myself and get things done at home.

Here is the scooter video of everyone passing by me. I wish I knew how to turn the video sideways!!!

4th of July was AWESOME!!!!!
Carinna, my History teacher friend LOVES history and the 4th of July is her favorite holiday.
In spirit of the holiday she made up these mini-plays for us to perform. It was a riot. No editing. No real practice. She gave roles, told you what to say and we made it happen. Check them out.

MOVIE 1 - Paul Revere

MOVIE 2 - George Washington

MOVIE 3 - John Quincy Adams

MOVIE 4 - The Epic Movie

My buddy Andy created this Youtube page that has all the videos we shot from the party, from our phones.

So the 4th was fun-fulled and then the week following was a rough one.
Not that work was the toughest part, I was stressed and think the stress plus the touch-up color I did to my roots made me have an allergic reaction. My atopic dermatitis went nuts. My forehead and scalp was covered in red bumps and it ITCHED, ALL WEEK. It affected my sleep and my sanity.

By Friday, it was finally down and I was ready for the busy work week to be over. Friday night I ventured to the rooftop of a local bar where the Emerald City Soul Club/Scooter guys are DJing soul music every friday. It was great weather to enjoy a margarita after the crazy week.
From there, friends and I visited another establishment for dinner and another drink. Then Carinna and I went to another event that a friend was DJing at thats 2 blocks from our apartments. Its great that I can spend an evening at various places, all within an 8 blocks radius and no car is needed.

Saturday I went for a scooter ride and met up with someone for lunch and then headed over to the crazy kickball jamboree to see what my nutty friends were doing. West Coast Kickball is too over the top for me but its nice to see how creative some of my friends can be.

Sunday I planned to paint a few chairs but it was soooo gorgeous out. My friend Jo and I ventured to the local farmers markets. I bought the yummiest goat cheese from a local creamery. I should probably share it. Afterwards, I picked up lunch and met her and Ingo in the nearby park to read. About an hour into the silent reading party, a group of our friends who were at brunch swung by to hang out. We all decided to continue the park lounging in Asa & April's backyard a few blocks away. I love my friends. We swung by the grocery store to grab whatever we wanted to grill, drink and share and within the hour had a great BBQ going. SUCH A GREAT way to wrap up the weekend.
We put together great last-minute gatherings
People mag is always a fun discussion

It was a very busy, social weekend. I need my week to be quiet to balance it out. I need to do laundry and all those fun chores I avoided during the gorgeous weekend.
