It snowed last night. My neighborhood looked beautiful. Bowling was cancelled so I met up with other bowlers at a nearby bar to where we watched the snow fall and buses struggle up the hill. Snow watching, snow fights and hot toddy's are a great way to enjoy the snowfall.

This morning it was all slush! A tad slippery but mostly just super wet and gross. I slipped last night when trying to throw a snowball. It was super funny at the moment. Good thing I'm short, therefore it isn't far to fall but today my hip hurts.

Good times.

I have been super busy but all is good. I need up update my blog but in the meantime, here is a little video of my favorite neighborhood coffee shop. A little farther than UPtown Espresso but I simply like being here. Its in the heart of Belltown, near some of my favorite bars so I run into a lot of people I know. I love the environment and the super nice staff. On the night I had to study for my motorcycle license, after spending the hot summer day learning how to ride in an unshaded parking lot, Jesse, one of the owners gifted me a piece of coconut cake saying I needed "brain food" since he knew I was exhausted. See, now that's a small business I want to support.

What happened in May, you ask? Or didn't ask.

Its been a while since I posted here. May was an insanely busy but AMAZING. There was the Highline High School fundraiser dinner. I never recalled my high school having fundraisers and since I don't have kids, I told Carinna I would join her for her school's fundraiser auction/dinner. It was fun, I won a bottle of nice wine and 3 of us bid on the "Taste of Highline dinner" where several moms and staff would make meals passed down from their families. We were able to invite up to 10 friends. There was Italian, Somalian, Soul, Mexican, and Hawaiian. There may have been another but I forget. It was sooooo yummy and was hosted at a house that was on Lake Burien. They told us there may be a boat involved. The boat turned out to be a battery operated dock that quietly moved in the water.
