Health Month: Mid-week check in
THAT was my last meal before health month: Via Tribunala's SALAME pomodoro (fresh mozzarella, salame) So fresh and yummy!
So far health month hasn't been too too bad. I had cravings yesterday for something either salty or sweet but opted for tea with an apple with a little bit of peanut butter.
Me doing Health Month isn't necessarily to change my diet.
The main reason I'm doing Health Month (two friends created years ago) is to discipline myself and exercise more consistently. Though I'm sticking to the rules, its not about the intake to me- its the discipline. Granted, I'm hoping that minus the bread, alcohol, dairy and so forth with working out that I'll lose a few pounds but I spent many years battling weight issues and found its all about balance. If you want something, enjoy it, just don't overindulge in it. This girl needs discipline and Health Month seems like a good start.
I'm drinking more tea right now as I'm fighting a little cold (runny nose, cough, sore throat). I love Yogi tea. Have you had it? For the past year I have been buying their two variety packs, Cold Season Sampler and Rest & Relax Sampler. The packs are great and very helpful when you need then. Nothing like something that taste good while making you feel better. They have little fortunes on the tea bag like a fortune cookie.... so hippy right.
