Truly touched by the Dalai Lama

I am sitting here at home wondering if I'll be able to go to sleep tonight.
In the past 2-days I have been a part of something amazing called "Seeds of Compassion" and have had the chance to greet the most peaceful, kind-hearted person on the planet.... the Dalai Lama. I am still in shock as I type this. Did this really happen?

I found out about Seeds of Compassion (www.seedsofcompassion.org) because they became a client of WONGDOODY. With everything my goddaughter has to deal with at school regarding the unkindness of her peers, this REALLY hit home for me and I wanted to volunteer for the organization. Over the last two days I helped volunteering in different areas for the event.

I am so lucky and so blessed to be here in this moment, working for who I work for and being a volunteer for such a meaningful event in Seattle. I am truly touched and the next time I have a negative thought in my head, I will simply recall him smiling at me and shaking my hand. Truly touched.

As a volunteer, I got to meet his Holiness out of luck, timing and where I work. Today I was volunteering for VIP/Special events. There was some stress to a certain group coming in for a special meeting and what to do with these people and how to identify them. The volunteer lead grabbed me and informed me that Wongdoody was the special group. The secret agents instructed me to identify them and keep them in a certain spot until further instruction. It was serious stuff! It was Pat, Tracy and the main team who concepted all the work for the huge event. Little did I know they were there to be greeted by the Dalai Lama. Now as their guest escort, I was graced with meeting him too. I also got to meet and help Lama Tenzin a few hours later. He is a Tibetan Buddhist Monk who is very close to his Holiness and help start the Seeds of Compassion organization. Another person who's presence leaves you speechless and simply filled with happiness.

Wow I'm just so fortunate to be given such an opportunity.

The following video was taken when the Seeds of Compassion team, including my boss Tracy Wong got to travel out to meet his Holiness.

I don't know about you, but he reminds me of a cute little grandpa and brings tears to my eyes with his bright wisdom and humor.

You can watch all the events online! http://www.seedsofcompassion.org/webcast/index.html

I just heard on the news a newsman ask his Holiness.... "Why do you think people come out in the thousands to hear you speak?"
The Dalai Lama's answer with a laugh, "oh I don't know, maybe its my smile"
Truly touched!!!!!

(see my post below for some great commercials Wongdoody made for the organization)
