A great start to city life

Friday night, Darby and I cleaned the old apartment from top to bottom, then had dinner at the good ol' Rowie. For the days I had been there packing and cleaning....it was hard & emotional. Lots of memories. I will miss him and it sucks we couldn't work things out. however I was the one who gave up and called it quites. After 4+ years, how long can you hope things will change without realizing life can be better than this situation?

Saturday, we had the walk through and are no longer residents of Ridgewood Apartments. I took a bunch of clothes to Red Light to sell. They were looking for halloween outfits this month so I didn't sell much of my clothes however I got $6 for an old school zip up jacket. Poor girl before me only got $5 for a pile of blouses. So compared to her, I lucked out.

Saturday, I attended an Autism Auction with George and Ona. The auction were horrible to their volunteers. Not enough food, empty pizza trays and lots of standing around. We bailed after a while because they had so many other volunteers already in place and weren't giving us direction. So we went to dinner at El Portal, the restaurant thats on the 1st floor of my place. Yummy!!!!

We hit the town and met up with some of their friends. It was so new to me to be out and about to various bars. Luckily, they were cool bars and not meatmarkets.

Sunday was WONDERFUL! I woke up, met Courtney from Pure E at Uptown for lattes and discussion about projects. Then I strolled over to the Market to get a $5 bouquet and proceeded to the Crocodile Cafe for the I Heart Rummage Sale. A lot of cool indie designers. It makes me want to create something! I went to a nearby Aveda salon and bought all my favorite products that I'm low on. My flowers spilled water on their credit card machine. Oops!

I went foodshopping in the market below my apartment and finished unpacking until the late hours.

It was a beautiful day.
I love my place. I love this change of atmosphere.
