Thank you sweet Canlis brothers for a great evening.

Monday night, Amanda, Scottie and I used our winning menu at Canlis from a hunt they did on their 61st birthday. Only one menu this year and we got it within 20 minutes of the clue being released. PROFESSIONALS. ha!

It was amazing. I totally pegged a couple near us that were probably there to get engaged. Amanda and I kept an eye on them all night. We ended up missing the proposal during a moment that Mark Canlis was having a conversation with us. DARN IT! I wanted to see it happen. Oh well. We had a great view of Lake Union and my favorite tree on the Canlis property. The piano player was again amazing with mixing old and modern hits.

The only problem is that my stomach did not know how to handle all the food I took in. I never ate more after I was full but it was a lot of food in a long sitting.

Starting with Oysters and Pork Belly.
Main course: I opted for the King Salmon since I had the Petite Filet last time. Scottie got the New York Strip and Amanda got the Petite Filet. We all got a twice baked potato as our sides and shared a mushroom side.
2 desserts.
A beginning cocktail
A bottle of wine
and an ending cocktail.

The 2 steaks, 2 sides, oysters, pork belly and 2 desserts = $12.50!!!!
The 3rd entree at full price was the cheapest entree so that was nice of the restaurant to charge full price for the cheaper than expensive. Our drinks plus the current sales tax on the 1950's priced dishes added up to be most of the bill still costing the 3 of us much more than a typical dinner but this was a special occasion and we had a great time. The atmosphere and the sweet family that runs the restaurant makes it worth the experience.
