AND NOW I'M MOVING BUT I'M HOPEFUL!
Today was a productive day to a new me. I picked up my apartment, became an investor for Letterpress Distilling and moved a car-full of stuff into the new place.
I'll tell ya more about Letterpress Distilling later (or you can click the linked name) but when I got off work, I picked up a Zipcar Hybrid, loaded up with boxes and a hand-truck and started to move into my new apartment.
I don't like to depend on others so I wanted to move as much as I can on my own, leaving the big stuff for the main move on Sunday when friends help. Well I think I'm done moving stuff until Sunday unless someone can help me tomorrow. I loaded a hand-truck full of the heavier boxes and had a hard time pushing it up a ramp. What was I thinking? No elevators, just ramps, like at a movie theatre. The amount I loaded on was too much for little me. Luckily a new neighbor got home from a run and insisted on helping me. Luckily, my next 4 trips had less heavier stuff and I had no problem pushing it up the ramp to my apartment. BUT I was exhausted and a sweaty mess.
Once I dropped that off the Zipcar, I walked 10 blocks with the hand-truck to have dinner & visit Paco at the sushi restaurant. I felt like someone should have been recording video of me and my hand-truck strolling through the city on a busy Friday night. I was going to go out for a birthday but as I ate my yummy dinner, my shoulders and legs were throbbing so no night out with friends for me. I'm going to shower, sort some things and climb in bed with a book!
Tomorrow is a whole other story.
