Busy times

Hi family,
I will try to recap my happenings soon.

Right now its insane at work and I'm trying to iron out my weekend plans.

This weekend is Scooter Insanity which starts Thursday night. I'm stoked!
I will not be taking part in EVERYTHING but will be taking part off and on through out the weekend.

Thursday's kick-off is a party & fashion show, starring my buddy Chris Jone's "Like A Rockstar" clothing.
Should be a blast!!! Supposedly there will be hairstylist at the event that will do up my hair and I can get photos taken on my bike. I wish or hope some of the cycles will be at this scooter event and maybe I can get my photo on some other cool bikes. My friend Ingo, Annamarie and Selena are definitely going so I'm thinking the ratio of girls to guys will be more equal at this fashion event than the typical scooter gatherings which are male heavy.

1st Stop

Friday after work, the scooter guys, which includes some of the Emerald City Soul Club DJs will have their Summer weekly rooftop happy hour that CONVENIENTLY is less than 2 blocks from my house. Unlike other weeks, a group of us will head off on our scooters at 7 to ride north to a Scooter meet-up. The entire meet-up will then cruise down to the city in a pack to a music venue called the Funhouse for some punk bands. I don't think I'll stick around for this but instead head back to my hood to park my bike and dance the night away with friends at a different bar near my house called the Capitol club. A Busy night indeed!!!

Friday evenings scooters & soul music

Saturday I'll meet the scooter crew for brunch and take part in that ride. I'll take an afternoon break and meet back up another ride from South Seattle area back up to my area for Soul Night at Chop Suey which will include a live soul band. That should be a blast.

Sunday the rides continue. We will head over to Vashon Island to crusie around and BBQ at an Eagles Club over there. Some people will camp. I've been to the close island before and will most likely not camp and just ride back with a crew that night so I can have a chill night before 4th of July celebrating at Joy and Matt's amazing deck overlooking South Lake Union for fireworks.

INSANE right??? After this weekend, I'm planning some serious downtime and personal projects.

Its been a while since I posted here. May was an insanely busy but AMAZING. There was the Highline High School fundraiser dinner. I never recalled my high school having fundraisers and since I don't have kids, I told Carinna I would join her for her school's fundraiser auction/dinner. It was fun, I won a bottle of nice wine and 3 of us bid on the "Taste of Highline dinner" where several moms and staff would make meals passed down from their families. We were able to invite up to 10 friends. There was Italian, Somalian, Soul, Mexican, and Hawaiian. There may have been another but I forget. It was sooooo yummy and was hosted at a house that was on Lake Burien. They told us there may be a boat involved. The boat turned out to be a battery operated dock that quietly moved in the water. Summer came and went

Where did the summer go and what did I do. SOOOOO much. It was a great summer. I only ended up camping once but it was a good one. I went to PARIS! Which was gorgeous, romantic, rich in foods and simply breathtaking.  I wish I had time to post highlights of my summer but I can only suggest to check out all my photos since May on Flickr. It was a good summer in Seattle.
