Materials:
Oil cloth front and dishtowel on back.
Double-fold bias tape for edges, 1/2"
Velcro
matching threads

I whipped this together pretty quick. This was my 1st bib experiment and it came out somewhat okay. I know it looks cute but the stitching wasn't up to par. I had a really rough time working with the bias tape for the edges. Edges are not meant to be smooth but there is a trick I haven't mastered. I have some cute ideas for the next bib project.

For the baby shower, I also bought the Bensons a baby carrier off their registry and some children book favorites shown below.

Two books I could not get at the store but will order it online are:
Popcorn: A Frank Asch Bear Story and Berenstein Bears: Inside, Outside, Upside Down

The Benson shower was Sunday and it was a nice relaxing afternoon with great people. Beautiful mother-to-be Kellianne is the pretty gal on the far right with the yellow flower in her hair. Buster, father-to-be is on the far left with the tie. An amazing couple that will give their baby an amazing life!

Celebrating Baby Niko!
There were two cool things we did at the shower. 1. Guest made little cranes out of patterned orgami paper which will be Niko's mobile hanging over his crib. Cranes are a symbol of good luck and there is a sweet story behind why his middle name is Crane.

2. There was a onesie station where you can customize a onesie with fabric markers. It was a great idea and Niko will surely be the coolest kid in our neighborhood.
