catching up for Cathy B. :D
I know, I know... my last post was in MAY. INSANE but I've been busy. So lets try to wrap up my happenings.
Ok to sum up the last few buys months...
June:
Lots of eating out with friends, Lots and LOTS of movies at the Seattle Film Festival. They are a WONGDOODY client so our office is given passes to share with each other. I saw 7 films over the course of 2 weeks. In 2008, I saw 6 films.
I pulled one all nighter after my friend's threw an after-hours gig. I was at i-hop at 6:30am replying to my mom's email and she quickly replied "why are you up!"
There was my friend Kindra's Birthday Party. Kindra is the queen party planner so this years bday was a Zoo Party at the zoo.
My friend and former flame Joby and his friend Joe had a housewarming party the same night of Kindra's party. I promised I would show up in my chicken outfit. The hat was a hit. We tried to get Joby to wear the entire outfit.
There was the Seattle Pride Parade. I am not a fan of parades but I don't mind this one that passes through my neighborhood. Its like a big party in the street with various people walking the ENTIRE PARADE IN STILETTOS! Insane!
July
Oh July...what an amazing month. We had a short heat wave. People whined and whined but I knew it was temporary and then people would whine that it got cold again. How did I stay cool while living in a non-AC 13th floor apartment? Work all day then we spent a few nights swimming in one of the lakes during sunset. By the time I got home and showered, the apartment was cool and fine for a decent night's sleep.
During June and July I tought my friend Joby how to sew. He is going to take a wilderness class and when searching for a tent and sleeping bag online he found "make your own" so he challenged himself to make his own, with the help of me and my new sewing machine. He did a great job and it was like having a roomie for the hours he was busy at work while I did laundry and bills. Plus there is something sexy about a hot guy using a sewing machine! Nothing wrong with eye candy!!!
THEN THERE'S MY TRIP TO PA...WHICH WAS A GREAT ONE!!!!!
here are the slideshows:
Lastly, I joined in on a project my friend started called "8:36."
Every night for the rest of my life, I will capture what is taking place at 8:36pm. All credit goes to Mr. Buster Benson for starting the project and encouraging others to take part. This is it so far...
Now its August and I'm finally caught up with the blog. I'll try to post more regularly because this catching up on 3 months is for the birds. Plus writing my happenenings more often is a great memoir for myself.
