Till Death Do We Sparkle
Two weekends ago I went to a theme party.... A fake wedding between two friends. Everyone was encourage to dress for a wedding, where gals were invited to wear bridesmaid dresses. I wore my 17-year old prom dress. The one I designed and had Linda Corcoran make.
Not sure if whomever is reading this is familiar with burlesque. Its the Art of the tease. I love Burlesue as most routines are usually comedy related and its amazing all the time and dedication that goes into planning the entertaining routines. A male burlesque performer called Ultra was the “dad” in the fake wedding and after he walked Kindra down the aisle, he performed a funny adult-rated performance to that super cheesye popular wedding song “Butterfly Kisses.” It was soooo twisted that it was so good! So gross for him to be performing this song to his pretend daughter. Haha
Then maid of dishonor acted disorderly and performed a wild routine. Then there were a couple wedding objections and then a huge dancy party reception with lots of drag queens, boys in short shorts, bridesmaid dresses galore and lots of alcohol. It was a crazy night, super fun night.
This weekend was a weekend of recuperation. Friday I had a movie date. The Reader with Kate Winslett was REALLY good. Love her!
Saturday I went to the Roller Derby bout with my friends who are now retired from the sport. Jess’s idea... We were smart bunnies. Or as a friend called us: SOMEBUNNIES.
Sunday I bought a new digital camera. The closest point and shoot camera to an SLR camera. SLR cameras are the high-quality semi-pro type that take amazing photos and you can swap lenses. As someone who gets around mostly on foot, I still wanted something I can throw in my purse...so after research I got the best point and shoot that’s closest to the SLR quality. Very excited to have clearer, brighter photos.
